Birding in Spain's Wild West

Birding in Spain's Wild West

If you’re looking for a guided birding holiday or just a quiet break with a few hours of bird-watching and gorgeous scenery away from the crowds then don’t look further. We are based in Salamanca province within the Biosphere Reserve of the Sierras de Bejar and Francia, within easy reach of Gredos mountains, the cereal steppelands of Campo de Alba and the Arribes del Duero Natural Park. A great variety of habitats and abundance of birdlife, flora and fauna, within stunningly beautiful landscapes. We offer full, half-day or several day routes, and can suggest or organise your stay at rural hotels and self-catering cottages. Call us or visit our website.
As a small ecotourism company we support sustainable tourism which implies none-intrusive bird and nature-watching, respect for the environment and the fauna and flora within it, the conservation of our local heritage and direct economic benefits for local inhabitants. It is a low-impact tourism for small groups in which the emphasis is to enjoy much more than birding: gorgeous landscapes, ancient trees, interesting archaeological structures, local hospitality and fantastic food.  And if you’ve been learning Spanish and want to practise, this is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the culture whilst you enjoy a great birding holiday.  Hasta pronto!
